More than three miles of trails on Wawasee Area Conservancy Foundation property, 11586 SR 13, Syracuse, will be available to explore at your own pace from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 21, and Sunday, Oct. 22, for the third annual WACF Falltastic Trail Walk.
Two new events have been made available this year. The first is geocaching where participants will be able to use navigation techniques to hide and seek “geocaches.” For first-timers, more information will be available from a geocache expert at the pavilion.
The second new aspect of the Falltastic Trail Walk is a Dog Boo contest in which participants are encouraged to dress up their dogs to compete in a costume contest.
This event is free fun in the outdoors for the entire family, including the dog.
Refreshments will be served after the walk at the pavilion next to a relaxing fire in the fireplace.
The scenic trails of the WACF Center are open year-round for anyone to enjoy. For more information about WACF, visit www.wacf.com.
