Wawasee Property Owners Association Posted on July 20, 2013 by WPOA AdminJune 29, 2019
PROPOSED DECAL — A decal similar to the one pictured will be given to each boater who has his/her boat inspected at the boat ramp at Ward Park, Syracuse, or the ramp at Wawasee Family Fishing Area this summer. Both the Wawasee Lake Patrol and the Coast Guard Auxiliary, Toledo branch, will be doing the inspections. It is asked the decal be placed in a visible location on the windshield of the boat.

Members of the Wawasee Lake Patrol dedicate their volunteer time to take care of educating all who boat on the state’s largest natural lake. Jim Tranter, who oversees the local patrol, presented information about that patrol at the Wawasee Property … Continue reading →

Wawasee Property Owners Association Posted on July 18, 2013 by WPOA AdminJune 29, 2019

The formation starts with a tri-plane, jumpers on each others shoulders, before climbing down and attaching a quick release strap and spreading out. The jumper on the left is the one who steers the trio.

Boats filled Johnson’s Bay on Lake Wawasee and the peninsula on Venetian Island was filled with spectators Saturday evening. Many gathered at family, friends and neighbors on nearby channels to see the second Annual Elite Frogs Parachute Team jump at … Continue reading →

Wawasee Property Owners Association Posted on July 18, 2013 by WPOA AdminJune 29, 2019
THE MANN HOME — The home of Gerald and Edna Mann, Pier 521, is one of four Lake Wawasee Cottages featured on the WPOA Cottage Tour on July 27. The couple purchased a small cottage in Vawter Park but was not long before the guest bathroom needed to be larger. So when remodeling plans began, the builder suggested building a new home. Local architect Sam Leman and Mrs. Mann designed the new home, taking maximum advantage of the view of the lake and designed for a large number of guests and large parties.

Bring your friends, your family, co-workers to the Wawasee Property Owners Association Cottage Tour on Saturday, July 27. This year’s event is opened to any one who has or can get a boat on Lake Wawasee. It is preferred that … Continue reading →
