Veteran's Memorial Park at Crosson Mill
The 15th season of the Artisans & Farmers Market opens on Saturday, May 18! Beautiful displays of locally grown produce, flowers, baked goods and art fill the park to create a diverse and friendly community shopping experience. Located directly off of State Route 13 in the heart of town, residents and visitors come together on Saturdays from May through September to celebrate local food and art in the park. Taps Across the Water at Dusk
What: Memorial Day Tribute to honor veterans and those who have died in the performance of their duties while serving in the United States Armed Forces.
We request one full minute of silence by all in attendance at approx 9:08 pm. At 9:09 pm, Taps will play simultaneously by buglers strategically placed on Wawasee, Syracuse Lake, and Papakeechie Lake.

WACF Wetland Adventure
Starting at 10:00 am each day, activities are geared toward preschool and elementary-aged kids. Activities include crafts and interactive activities, each week will feature a different aspect of our wetlands.

Wawasee Flotilla!
The Wawasee Flotilla will be celebrating its 63rd lake parade this 4th of July weekend and the theme is “Family Game Night”. Whether you are sinking someone’s Battleship or getting a Ticket to Ride, we invite you to gather your family, friends and neighbors to create some Family Game Night fun for the parade.
The Wawasee Flotilla Parade will be on Saturday, July 6th @ 1:30 PM, starting on the East Shore in front of Natti Crow Beach moving counterclockwise around the lake.

WPOA End of Year Dinner
Wawasee Property Owners Association will hold our annual end of year dinner on the S.S. Lillypad on Saturday August 19th. Tickets are $30 per person. Please plan on arriving around 6-6:15 to check in. You are welcome to grab a drink from inside and chat with friends if you come early. We will plan to leave around 6:30pm for our 2 1/2 hour ride around Wawasee! Our President, Kay Young will give a short speech about the WPOA, do a raffle drawing for some WPOA items and announce the 2023 Chief Award winner. Dinner will be served and there will be a cash bar on the boat. We will arrive back at the Frog at 9pm. We look forward to celebrating another summer on the lake with our property owners.

Get to know Lake Wawasee on a new level! Ecotours are like ranger talks - but on the lakes.
Join the tour from the comfort of your own boat. Dr. Nate Bosch narrates the tour (broadcast on an FM radio station). Text in questions and try hands-on activities as you learn about many important aspects of local lakes, including research demonstrations by college interns, new this year.
A college intern will join you on your boat and supplement Dr. Bosch's talk with more specific examples of how the Lilly Center collects samples and conducts research.

Lake season in back in full swing and The Wawasee Property Owners Association will be holding the annual family breakfast at the beautiful Oakwood Resort on Saturday June 17, 2023 from 7:30 - 10:30am. The breakfast will include pancakes, scrambled eggs, biscuits & gravy, bacon, sausage and fruit. Please join us with family, friends, children & neighbors! We will have balloon making by Ken’s Balloons and the Syracuse Fire department will have their Firetrucks out front for the kids to check out and possibly be giving bucket rides! See you there!

Ball State Singers to Perform in Syracuse
Chautauqua-Wawasee’s 2023 Spring musical program will feature the Ball State University Singers, an elite musical show choir. The choir of forty students, singers, dancers, instrumentalists, and sound technicians will perform a wide variety of popular hits songs and musical theater in a 90-minute show at Wawasee High School in Syracuse. Under the direction of Jodi Cotton-Street, the show promises to be a powerful celebration of faith, hope, laughter, and love with a sparkling performance showcasing music that is encouraging, uplifting, and inspiring. A number of the University Singers choir members are graduates from local and regional area high schools.
When: February 10, 6:00 – 7:30pm Doors open at 5:30.

WACF's Fishing with the DNR
Bring the kids (and possibly a pole if you have one) to the Between the Lakes property. The DNR will teach your kiddos how to bait a hook (bait provided), cast a line and catch a fish. All fish are put into a large aquarium to observe before releasing them back to their natural habitat. We will have extra poles available for use.

Bug Catch at WACF
Arrive at WACF Ruddell Pavilion at 9 AM with water shoes and life jackets. Learn a little bit about the water bugs that you will catch and how they indicate good water quality. Then head to the lake, grab a net and catch those water critters! Prepare to get wet and have fun. A light breakfast will be served.
